Utility Incentive Reports

UTILITY INCENTIVE
REPORTS

How municipalities are charged for street lights

  • Municipal street lights are not generally metered by the utility. Municipalities are charged on a agreed light inventory and wattage usage

How municipalities reduce their energy bill

  • The municipality must substantiate reduced wattage usage to the utility

We provide the proof for reduced energy usage

How Utility Incentive Reports Work

  • We assemble the on-site illumination test data required by BC Hydro Utility for wattage reduction
  • We measure existing light levels, GPS location, pole spacing, luminaire height, pole overhang, road width and assess pedestrian conflict level, road type and road surface reflectivity
  • We re-measure the light levels after we install a pilot LED test light for “before and after” data
